Wagering Requirements Explained

Calculate the real turnover behind a bonus

A wagering requirement is the amount you must bet before bonus-related winnings may become eligible for withdrawal. The multiplier alone never tells the full story.

Examples are educational only. Always use the formula and definitions in the operator's current promotion terms.

How to Calculate a Wagering Requirement

Bonus-only formula: bonus amount × wagering multiplier = required turnover.

An RM20 bonus at 10x requires RM200 of qualifying wagers. An RM50 bonus at 20x requires RM1,000. These are turnover figures, not the amount a player is expected to win or lose.

If the terms use “deposit + bonus,” add those amounts before multiplying. For example, an RM50 deposit plus RM50 bonus at 10x creates RM1,000 in required turnover: (RM50 + RM50) × 10.

Four Rules That Matter Beyond the Multiplier

Game Contribution

If a game contributes 20%, every RM10 wager adds only RM2 toward the requirement. Slots may contribute differently from table or live games.

Maximum Bet

Promotions may cap the amount permitted per spin, hand or wager while a bonus is active.

Time Limit

Any unfinished turnover may expire after a specified number of hours or days.

Maximum Withdrawal

Completing wagering does not remove a separate cap on bonus-derived withdrawals.

Questions to Ask Before Activating a Bonus

  • Does the multiplier apply to the bonus or deposit plus bonus?
  • Which games contribute 100%, partially or zero?
  • What is the maximum allowed bet?
  • When does the bonus expire?
  • Is there a maximum withdrawal?
  • Does a withdrawal cancel unfinished bonus funds?
  • Are payment methods or countries excluded?
  • What verification must be completed?

Wagering Requirement FAQ

Is a lower multiplier always better?

Usually it means less turnover, but expiry, eligible games, maximum bets and withdrawal caps must also be compared.

What does 1x wagering mean?

It normally means the defined qualifying amount must be wagered once. Confirm what amount the terms define as the base.

Does completing wagering guarantee withdrawal?

No. Verification, payment, prohibited-play and withdrawal-limit rules may still apply.
